NBA February 7th Starting Five

The NBA season has been here, but today it is now December which means it's CHRISTMAS TIME! We have such an exciting season up ahead and plenty of opportunities to win some money! There are four key things I look for in a player to have the highest probability of being optimal!
1. Price
2. Opponent DvP
3. Recent Minutes/Rotation Time
4. Usage Rate
These four statistics paired together are the best suitors to find a gem. Almost everyone I mention below hits on atleast 2 of these if not all of them! Hopefully this will help you be more successful while building lineups and give you a higher chance of winning the big bucks!
I would also like to note that I write these articles early in the day. It is always beneficial to check @FantasyLabsNBA for lineup changes. Those changes could have a direct effect on some of my "favorite plays" in the sense that if a cheap guy that was one of my favorites doesn't start, then they might no longer be a favorite play or even a play at all. Check out my Twitter @HeatingUpDFS for any updates on favorite play changes!

PG: Tre Mann ($4,900)

Despite the low implied total, I think Mann is still in a good spot here to get a ton of run and solid usage. He has gotten 32+ minutes in each of the last three games and has 27+ DK points in two of those three. He is blow out proof and I actually do think this game will have a decent pace to it with both teams in the top half for pace. If he were a bit more expensive then I would probably be off of him, but he is still underpriced for the implied role and production.
High: Stephen Curry ($10,500)
Mid: Spencer Dinwiddie ($6,200)
Low: Raul Neto ($3,200)

SG: Donovan Mitchell ($8,400)

This one scares me a bit because I hate taking guys against the Knicks, but Mitchell in his first game back from injury put up 43 DK points in just 22 minutes. That is good for 1.97 FPPM which is actually insane. I fully expect the minutes to get back to around ~30, so if he can maintain even north of a 1.3 FPPM level which is pretty normal for him then he should smash this price tag. 50 DK points seems like a given tonight as long as the game stays closer which the spread is only -6 for Utah. On a 5 game slate with not a ton of value, getting the high end value might be your only option.
High: Zach Lavine ($9,300)
Mid: Gary Trent ($6,300) or Klay Thompson ($6,300)
Low: Ty Jerome ($4,200) or Damion Lee ($3,800)

SF: Javonte Green ($4,200)

Take your free square today with Green. He has 25+ DK points in 5 straight games and has yet to see his price rise to a level worth questioning rostering him. He has also gotten 26+ minutes in those 5 games as well, so you would have to expect solid run tonight. That game has the highest implied total on the slate and will be a big part of the game plan for them. There really isn't much more you can say other than role with Green tonight.
High: N/A
Mid: Andrew Wiggins ($6,500) or Luke Dort ($6,100)
Low: Moses Moody ($3,200) or Kenrich Williams ($4,300)

PF: Pascal Siakam ($9,200)

Charlotte is not good against bigs, especially of Siakam's level. Siakam plays Charlotte tonight. Put two and two together and you have the recipe for a ceiling game tonight. He has back to back 50+ DK point performances, the pace and implied total of this game should be quite high and the minutes are sky high too. This just seems like such a perfect spot for Siakam so roll him out with confidence tonight.
High: Kyle Kuzma ($7,400)
Mid: Gordon Hayward ($5,000)
Low: Royce O'Neale ($4,200) or Rui Hachimura ($3,300)

C: Bam Adebayo ($9,000)

Similar things can be said about Bam as we did for Siakam. The Wizards are not good in the paint and are without Gafford here. Bam is running hot right now with 45+ DK points in each of the last 3 games. He had his highest usage rate of the season last game at a whopping 41%. If that can continue here in a competitive game then there is an opportunity for him to have a ceiling game. With a lot of ownership to the cheap guys, I think you could get some leverage going with Bam here.
High: N/A
Mid: Kevin Looney ($5,000) or Montrezl Harrell ($4,700)
Low: Mamadi Diakite ($3,700) or Udoka Azubuike ($3,500)
Thanks for reading, best of luck, and I hope you enjoy the holidays!
