NBA February 25th Starting Five

The NBA season in full swing and we have another great slate tonight! We have such an exciting season up ahead and plenty of opportunities to win some money! There are four key things I look for in a player to have the highest probability of being optimal!
1. Price
2. Opponent DvP
3. Recent Minutes/Rotation Time
4. Usage Rate
These four statistics paired together are the best suitors to find a gem. Almost everyone I mention below hits on atleast 2 of these if not all of them! Hopefully this will help you be more successful while building lineups and give you a higher chance of winning the big bucks!
I would also like to note that I write these articles early in the day. It is always beneficial to check @FantasyLabsNBA for lineup changes. Those changes could have a direct effect on some of my "favorite plays" in the sense that if a cheap guy that was one of my favorites doesn't start, then they might no longer be a favorite play or even a play at all. Check out my Twitter @HeatingUpDFS for any updates on favorite play changes!

PG: Devin Booker ($9,200)

Booker without Paul is just a whole different breed. He scored 61 DK points last night and gets an easier matchup against the Pels who are in the bottom 10 for defensive efficiency this season. I don't think McCollum is going to give him many issues tonight and I actually think a lot of this game those two will just be going at each other. The game has the 3rd highest implied total on the slate along with spread of 7 points. I think the Pels will give the Suns a lot more trouble then the Thunder did last night. I think in this spot Booker should be closer to $10,000, so I would take the discount here even if half the field is going to take him as well.
High: Dejounte Murray ($10,800)
Mid: Cole Anthony ($7,000) or Kyle Lowry ($6,800)
Low: Alec Burks ($4,900) or Ish Smith ($4,200)

SG: CJ McCollum ($8,600)

Going to run back Booker with McCollum here pretty much every where I can. He has been incredibly hot since his trade to the Pels, scoring 50+ DK points in 3 of the last 4 games. The Suns defensive efficiency drops a good bit without Paul, so McCollum from an efficiency stand point should be alright. He has been the defacto PG lately and I think they put Mikal Bridges on Brandon Ingram over McCollum. That should in tail give McCollum a bit of a usage bump which is already close to 35%. The Pels matchup up well with the Suns and should keep this one competitive. McCollum should be a major part of that.
High: Donovan Mitchell ($8,700) or D'Angelo Russell ($7,300)
Mid: Terance Mann ($5,400)
Low: Luke Kennard ($4,000) or Lonnie Walker IV ($3,900)

SF: Cameron Johnson ($4,800)

I guess we are going to continue with this game. Cam Johnson without Paul drew the start and scored 37 DK points in 31 minutes. This becomes his 2nd straight game with 30+ minutes and there is nothing pointing to him not getting that again here. Similar to Booker, this is a bottom 10 defense he is going against and he should see a good bit of Ingram in this one and he hasn't ever been good defensively in his career. All in all, the minutes, matchup and usage are all in his favor tonight and he should thrive once again.
High: Lebron James ($10,600)
Mid: Mikal Bridges ($6,100)
Low: Chuma Okeke ($4,700) or Doug McDermott ($4,300)

PF: Pascal Siakam ($9,300)

As always I want the center playing against Charlotte and that is Siakam tonight. The Hornets run at the fastest pace in the league, suck against bigs and will likely keep the game close with a lot of scoring. No better time than now to run out Siakam who has scored 50+ DK points in back to back games against CHA. Even with FVV back I think they run through Pascal who has actually been really close to having back to back triple doubles against CHA. I don't remember the last time the big against CHA failed to hit over 5x value, so lock in Pascal tonight for a big game.
High: Kyle Kuzma ($8,900)
Mid: Wendell Carter Jr. ($7,400) or Marcus Morris ($6,400)
Low: Rui Hachimura ($4,000)

C: Mo Bamba ($4,500)

This is a risky play but I really think it can pay off here. The Rockets are just as bad as Charlotte against bigs and that is who Bamba plays tonight. He is coming off of a 26 DK point game where he finally got 27 minutes. If they are going to continue to give him those minutes then he is just way too cheap. The issue is will they continue to give him those minutes. I think we know he is the perfect GPP play with a massive upside if he gets going and this matchup fits him well. With Wagner being ruled out for this game, I think that means we get Bamba locked into those minutes which is exactly what I want. I also think the ownership will not be there so he could become massive leverage.
High: Christian Wood ($7,900) or Jonas Valanciunas ($7,800)
Mid: PJ Washington ($5,300) or Jaxson Hayes ($4,800)
Low: Goga Bitadze ($4,600) or Khem Birch ($3,100)
Thanks for reading, best of luck, and I hope you enjoy the holidays!
