NBA February 15th Starting Five

The NBA season in full swing and we have another great slate tonight! We have such an exciting season up ahead and plenty of opportunities to win some money! There are four key things I look for in a player to have the highest probability of being optimal!
1. Price
2. Opponent DvP
3. Recent Minutes/Rotation Time
4. Usage Rate
These four statistics paired together are the best suitors to find a gem. Almost everyone I mention below hits on atleast 2 of these if not all of them! Hopefully this will help you be more successful while building lineups and give you a higher chance of winning the big bucks!
I would also like to note that I write these articles early in the day. It is always beneficial to check @FantasyLabsNBA for lineup changes. Those changes could have a direct effect on some of my "favorite plays" in the sense that if a cheap guy that was one of my favorites doesn't start, then they might no longer be a favorite play or even a play at all. Check out my Twitter @HeatingUpDFS for any updates on favorite play changes!

PG: De'Anthony Melton ($4,800)

I want to start off by saying I do not think Morant will play tonight which means a lot of the Grizzles are in good spots. This game has the 2nd highest implied total on the slate and Melton could be in for a large minutes bump. He has been playing between 16-22 minutes as of late and still putting up very solid numbers. He has hit 23+ DK points in 5 straight games even with a lesser role, so when given a much larger role I would imagine that output increases. It is a bit risky with the price so high and if Morant does play then disregard entirely. However, if he draws the start and Morant is out, the sky is the limit for him right now with the way he is playing.
High: Trae Young ($9,300)
Mid: Kyle Lowry ($6,400) or Reggie Jackson ($6,400)
Low: Tyus Jones ($3,200)

SG: Anthony Edwards ($8,000)

Heading into the all-star break that he was snubbed from in his mind, Edwards has put up 61 and 52 DK points in his last two with 20+ shots in each of the last 3. He gets to go up against the fastest team in the league in a game that has an implied total of 243.5 which is honestly unheard of. If he is going to get 20+ shots again here I see no reason he can't hit 50+ once again. He is going to get a cupcake matchup against Oubre or Rozier all game and isn't priced to his ceiling. This seems like a sure fire bet even though there are quite a few Wolves that could show out tonight.
High: Devin Booker ($8,400), CJ McCollum ($8,000), or Terry Rozier ($7,900)
Mid: D'Angelo Russell ($7,300) or Buddy Hield ($6,000)
Low: John Konchar ($3,300) or James Bouknight ($3,300)

SF: Lance Stephenson ($4,000)

No Duarte or Brogdon once again so it is likely we see Lance do his thing. If he draws the start then he is about as close to being a lock as it gets. He scored 24/9/8 in his one game as a starter this season and he really only is fighting with Haliburton or Hield for the scoring. Haliburton is more of a natural distributor an floor general, so we could see Lance with very high usage tonight. He got 32 minutes last game and if that is any indication of what is going to happen tonight, then the sky is the limit just like Melton.
High: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,800)
Mid: Desmond Bane ($6,900) or Kelly Oubre Jr. ($5,900)
Low: Terence Mann ($4,600)

PF: Oshae Brissett ($5,400)

Brissett has put up 40+ DK points in back to back games in 37 and 38 minutes of action. The Pacers are still shorthanded when it comes to bigs, so his role is likely to stay the same here. My only concern is he has to deal with Giannis tonight, but if he can avoid foul trouble then he should be great here once again. He was able to get up 40+ even against a great Cavs interior defense. No reason to believe he can't do it here when the Bucks have been just about middle of pack in terms of PF DvP. He just isn't priced where he should be for the ceiling.
High: Jimmy Butler ($8,600)
Mid: Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,200) or Evan Mobley ($6,500)
Low: Nicolas Batum ($3,500) or Brandon Clarke ($5,000)

C: Karl Anthony Towns ($9,800)

As usual, if Charlotte is on the slate then I want the opposing C. While Towns hasn't been playing great at the moment, I think that just means you are getting him at a discount here and at lower ownership. This game has the highest implied total by a mile and should stay close. The usage and minutes should hold around 30% and 32-35 minutes which I think is enough for him to break the 50 DK point mark. It is a bit risky with how he has been playing, but the matchup is just too sweet to pass up.
High: Joel Embiid ($11,600) or Bam Adebayo ($7,900)
Mid: DeAndre Ayton ($6,600), Steven Adams ($5,800) or Clint Capela ($5,300)
Low: Serge Ibaka ($4,100)
Thanks for reading, best of luck, and I hope you enjoy the holidays!
